In July 2022, Ali Seddiki was appointed by His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God
assist Him, as the General Director of the Moroccan Investment and Exports Development
Agency «AMDIE.» Previously, he held the position of Director General of Investment and
Business Climate at the Ministry of Investment, Convergence, and Evaluation of Public
Policies. In this role, Mr. Seddiki was responsible for overseeing the development strategy,
promotion, facilitation, and monitoring of investments, as well as improving procedures
for supporting investment initiatives.
Between 2019 and 2021, Mr. Seddiki served as the General Director in charge of Industry
at the Ministry of Industry, Trade, Green, and Digital Economy. His primary focus was on the
growth and advancement of the Moroccan industrial sector, which currently employs over
800,000 individuals and generates $24 billion in exports. His responsibilities encompassed
enhancing regulations, fostering foreign direct investment (FDI), and strengthening the
industrial supply chain.
Before his role in industry development, Mr. Seddiki held the position of Director in charge
of Aeronautics, Rail, Naval, and Renewable Energies at the Ministry of Industry. Notably,
he led the project for the Boeing ecosystem in Morocco, collaborating with the Boeing
Company to create 8,700 jobs and generate a $1 billion economic impact in the Moroccan
aeronautical industry.
As a member of the Minister of Industry’s office, Mr. Seddiki played a crucial role in
establishing the Industrial Acceleration Plan (IAP), a comprehensive 5-year strategy
aimed at boosting the Moroccan industry, launched in 2014. Within this framework, he
specifically oversaw the implementation of the IAP for Steel, Textile, Aerospace, Naval,
Rail, and Renewable Energies.
Prior to his government roles, Mr. Seddiki worked for a Strategy Consulting firm based in
France, specializing in Aeronautics, Defense & Space, Oil & Gas, Construction, Renewable
Energy, and Mobility sectors. His diverse assignments included developing corporate
strategies, conducting corporate reorganizations, and facilitating internationalization
efforts for prominent industrial firms.
Mr. Seddiki holds a Master of Science degree from HEC Paris Grande Ecole.
