Henrik RABER
Global Head of Global Banking, Standard Chartered Bank
Henrik Raber, based in UAE, is the Global Head of Global Banking at Standard Chartered Bank and a member of Standard Chartered Bank’s Corporate and Investment Banking Management Team (CIBMT). The Global Banking business encompasses Capital Markets, Financing Solutions, Leveraged and Acquisition Finance, Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) Advisory, Project and Export Finance, Transportation Finance, Commercial Real Estate Financing and Subscription Finance businesses.
Career in SCB:
· Mr. Raber joined the Bank in July 2009 as Regional Head of Capital Markets for Europe, Africa, and Americas.
· In March 2010, he took on the role of Global Head of Capital Markets.
· In August 2014, he was appointed as the Global Head overseeing the Capital Market and Loan Syndications businesses.
· In April 2017, he took on an additional role as the Co-Head, Capital Structuring and Distribution Group (CSDG), where he was jointly responsible for championing the Bank’s Originate to distribute model.
· In July 2018, he was appointed as the Global Head of Credit Markets overseeing Capital Markets, CSDG and Credit Trading.
· In February 2021, his remit as Global Head of Credit Markets was expanded to include global leadership of Capital Markets, Credit Trading, Financing Risk, Financing Solutions, Leveraged and Acquisition Finance, Project & Export Finance and Transportation Finance.
· In April 2024, he was appointed to the Bank’s CIBMT while continuing to lead Credit Markets globally and driving the specialized finance origination businesses for the bank.
· In September 2024, he was appointed Global Head of Global Banking, with his remit expanded to include leadership over the Bank’s M&A Advisory business, besides the Credit Markets businesses.
Prior to Standard Chartered Bank, Mr. Raber headed the European Credit Flow Sales and Trading businesses (encompassing Investment Grade, High Yield and Loans) at UBS Investment Bank. During his eight-year tenure at UBS he also managed the Syndicate business, the Global Medium-Term Note franchise and was a member of the European Fixed Income Management Committee.
Prior to UBS, he was with the Fixed Income Credit Trading and Capital Markets business at Lehman Brothers for eight years.
Mr. Raber currently serves on the Board of International Capital Markets Association (ICMA), and on the Advisory Board of “SWIAT GMBH”, a FinTech firm backed by SC Ventures that develops blockchain software for an open decentralized financial market infrastructure.
